Super useful, downloadable (and printable) PDFs with up to date demographic data. I also like how PRB separates countries into the UN Statistic Division Geographic Regions - which I mentioned in Issue #13.

This free resource from the Financial Times is useful for numerous elements of the IB DP Geography course. The language used on the ‘Visual Vocabulary’ helps students develop their descriptions and commentary upon infographics. The resource also helps discussions about data presentation in student Internal Assessments and Extended Essays.

I was involved in the presentation of two sessions, as well as livestreaming the annual TeachMeet, and organising the Beer Meet. The webpage above shares the slides I used, important links, and the recording of the TeachMeet. It is all worth an explore.
This is an update upon a ‘Random’ recommendation from Issue #8. Raindrop.io - the bookmarking service that I recommend - now allows you to highlight web content. This is a great addition and therefore worth another mention in this newsletter.
To take things a couple of steps more geeky → using IFTTT (a service I will probably recommend in a future issue) you can do things such as automatically add highlights to a document or a spreadsheet.
How do you know what you don’t know? is about spreading some of the things that I am finding useful and sharing it in an easily accessible and digestible way.
The first item will be for all geographers based on bigger ideas and everyday geographies. The idea behind the second item is something that is more focused on the needs of IB DP geographers, educators and students. The item will be linked to the syllabus but other geography educators and students may find it useful too. The third section is a quick update on something I am working on. New content added to, or refreshed on geographyalltheway, something I have recently written, or am involved in. The fourth and final item will be a bit more random. It will be a recommendation. Probably a bit techie, an app, an online service, or similar.
